Spotlight: $260,000 yearling who won on debut at Goodwood (1m2f, good to firm) in August; similar form as short-priced favourite in novice here (1m4f, AW) and 1m2f handicap at Goodwood, without yielding a win but she's a lightly raced 3yo who could easily have more to offer.
Spotlight: Useful form on second start as 2yo (1m, good) but that's receding in the memory and she's beaten a total of three horses in four starts this year; hooded first time on this AW debut, she needs to turn the ship around.
Spotlight: 0-8 overall but much more like it again on last two outings when fourth of 13 over C&D and second of 14 at Yarmouth (1m2f); firmly in the mix.
Spotlight: Scored twice over 1m on the AW early this year and runner-up much more recently on her first two starts in cheekpieces, including over C&D; player if she bounces back from a flop over C&D five weeks ago.
Spotlight: Won over 1m1f on the AW in March from four races in France; slipping in the weights on the strength of his three handicaps in Britain and there has been some promise on last two occasions, albeit while taking a strong hold.
Spotlight: Won a Chantilly maiden (9.5f, Polytrack) in February; has not matched that form in his four starts since, finishing a lot closer at Wolverhampton last time (1m4f, AW) on debut for James Owen but he needs to build on that.
Spotlight: The last of his three wins last term came over C&D and he also scored at Thirsk (1m4f) this June; has bounced back from modest runs before but the defeats on his last two starts (absent three months in between) were by 50l, which looks more concerning.
Spotlight: Made all in a novice at Newmarket (1m2f, good to soft) in August; that looked promising but she has since been soundly beaten in a 1m4f Listed event, last of six on handicap debut and well held in another 1m2f handicap; now 3lb lower than on handicap debut and has 3lb claimer up; also AW debut.
Spotlight: 2023 novice win here; back last December from a long absence and pretty consistent this year, except on latest start when he tailed off over 1m6f on heavy going (second turf start); back on AW, good each-way claims.
Spotlight: Won twice (April and August) from 14 starts for Ian Williams and ended his time with him on a creditable note at 1m4f; 16,000gns sale in September has taken him to his fourth trainer; effective here and has each-way claims.
Spotlight: Inconsistent in his five races for Owen Burrows and four for Kevin Philippart de Foy but he was off the mark on latest, produced late to take 12-runner handicap at Wolverhampton (9.4f, AW) in June by a neck; tongue tied for first time that occasion but not today, having been sold for 9,000gns in August; raised 4lb but needs a second look.
Spotlight: Won AW maiden at Wolverhampton (9.4f) in January and better form in defeat in 1m2f handicaps on next three starts, before his form dipped at Chester on latest; left Andrew Balding for 43,000gns in August and has been gelded; perhaps best watched this time, including as he's unraced over this far.
Spotlight: Resurgent 7yo who scored over 9.4f on Wolverhampton AW in September and October; form dipped there on latest outing but he met some trouble in running and has bounced back before; more to prove at this track (fourth attempt) and on first run beyond 1m2f.
Spotlight: AW winner at up to 1m4f in her Irish days and also scored at Nottingham (1m) in May; there's been little to cheer in her six starts since, which sees her 10lb below that last winning mark but caution has to be advised.

Just Keep Flying cost favourite backers on her last two starts but still got seriously involved and she's had only three races all told. She could still have potential and and stands out in that respect. However, HINCHINBROOKE has been back to form recently, including over C&D, and this could be where Jane Chapple-Hyam's 3yo gets off the mark. Hebridean Nomad is an interesting each-way option off his reduced mark and with a drop back in trip.[Richard Austen] Show less
