Spotlight: Had a purple patch last summer, winning four on the spin, but losing run back up to 12; he has threatened this season though, including a solid third at Beverley ten days ago, and today's conditions shouldn't be an issue; each-way shout.

Spotlight: Chased home Chief Of State over C&D last week; 5lb better off today but wouldn't be open to the same amount of progress as his old rival; cheekpieces are new.

Spotlight: 5f wins at Nottingham and Ripon in July, both on good ground; not at her best behind a few of these here last week and a less-demanding test might suit ideally.

Spotlight: Four wins this year (5f-7f, good ground (three times) and AW); not at her best last time and the change of headgear needs to get her back on track.

Spotlight: Should be well treated now but he needs to raise his game a notch; won't be inconvenienced by getting back on slightly easier ground.

Spotlight: 6f win at York on last summer's nursery debut (good to soft); not much to celebrate since but he's plummeting down the weights and he might find dropping to 5f beneficial; blinkers the headgear of choice this time.

Spotlight: Had some useful form as a 2yo but it's been tough going this time around; tailed off over 6f here when last seen in July; now wears cheekpieces for just the second time (runner-up in a seller when tried previously).
